Those Aren’t Pillows

Well, it’s Thanksgiving Eve and do you know what I’m looking forward to doing tomorrow. Nope, not eat Turkey. And don’t even think about saying watch football.

Hell, I’m gonna do the thing I love to do every Thanksgiving day, which is lounge around and watch the ultimate Thanksgiving movie of all time—Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

Yep, that’s right. Possibly one of my favorite John Hughes movies, Planes, Trains and Automobiles is the story of one man’s struggle to get home for the holidays while an unbelievable slob gets in his way and on his nerves every step of the way.

I love this movie, not just for its comedic value, but for me, its nostalgia. See, growing up, my family was never sports oriented. So watching football on Thanksgiving was not an option. Instead we would all get together, eat dinner, then sit on the couch and watch this family festive flick while snacking on left-overs all night long.

So, if you find yourself bored as hell tomorrow afternoon, and not in the mood to watch stupid old football, I suggest turning on this gem of holiday memento. It’ll have you laughing those extra calories away in no time.
